Caddy Project – 2ltr 16v/bike carbs/conversion manifold etc for sale

Caddy project for sale; I bought this a couple of years ago and have been collecting parts to convert it to a 2.0 litre 16v running bike carbs, but I?m currently working on a G60 project and realistically I know I?m not going to find the time to work on the caddy hence offering it up for sale. Hopefully someone with more time will be able to crack on with it It?s a 1985 caddy on a C plate and is complete. It used to be white but has been roughly painted blue, not including the engine bay. Also, at some point someone has dropped in a 1.6 diesel engine in place of the original 1.6 petrol. I was told by previous owner that it ran, but I?ve never attempted to start it as I didn?t care, so cannot confirm this. It does need some welding, although I cannot say exactly what needs doing as I was intending to simply strip it down and see what the problems were. It is clear however that the rear arches both need attention, the bed is rusty in places and the strip under the rear window needs work. Plastic arches and chin spoiler are included in sale.
