Genuine Carbonio Intake + Filter…. for sale

February 9th, 2012

…. If it helps, I'll post pics in due course. I'll clean the carbonfibre anyway. It has the Carbonio sticker applied. I have been running it with an ITG panel filter but this has done over 40k miles and would need cleaning if the buyer is interested. They are re-usable if you clean them properly by bathing in petrol and re-oiling etc – ITG would advise. If the ITG filter isn't wanted I could include the original Pipercross which was supplied but would add £10 extra. There are signs of cracking on the flexi union to engine cover. I can check if this component is able to be replaced. £90 excl shipping (if needed). Am in SouthWest but occasionally travel. The Carbonio is slightly controversial in that some say that it adds no performance and is just carbon eye-candy. Others claim bhp increases of about 10 bhp and swear by it. It'll help torque and probably add about 4 bhp, but who really knows. Whereas it's clearly not going to add the same level of bhp as a high-flow tubular intake, it is far more efficient than the convoluted oem solution and it can be used with the oem engine cover and hence doesn't raise alarm bells at VW dealers re warranty. This is what APR say about it : – http://www.goapr.com/products/intake_carbonio_20tfsi.html
