Mk3 Gti 16v for sale for sale

January 1st, 1970

Hi, For Sale is my Mk3 16v – 700 GBP ono (cant find pound symbol on keyb). I bought this car in January to allow me to rest my bike during winter (you might be able to see in background of some pics) and it has been great, this being my 1st Golf. The car is an M plate 1994 Golf Gti 16v, it has 104k miles on the clock, however the speedo wasn't working for the best part of 6 months so I would estimate at around 3k more miles. It is our 2nd family car and used if needed at weekends or to get me to and from work during rain or cold weather. The car has 3 previous owners and a limited history file (I think it might have been a pre-registered motor because there is no evidence of more than 2 previous owners). Anyhow, the service book is stamped up to 2004 at 86k miles when it was sold by its 1st owner – a Dr Misra and had the private plate M1 SRA transferred from it. Since then the history is sketchy, the only other receipt I have is for an imobiliser to be fitted around a year later. Because of this, when I bought I changed the oil, filter, air filter, wiper blades, dizzy and cleaned the throttle bodies. The car has MOT till December and Tax till end of Jan. It runs fine with no concerns. Condition. From the photos you might be able to see there are 2 small bubbling scabs under each rear light (where the panels join), this doesn't look serious at all. There a 2 small scrapes on the front and rear nearside bumpers. The nearside rear door has a small dent which shows as a crease and there is a small dent on the offside front wing. However these are pretty superficial and hardly noticable from more than a few feet. There is a small area of laquer peeling on the rear roof and the offside mirror shell has a small hole. During summer I noticed the front top mounts looking worn, at that time the car was a keeper so I replaced the suspension with some Gmax coilovers. I struggled to get the original topnuts undone so installed the whole units incl springs, this resulted in a 60mm drop on the front and made the ride way hard (the rears are original springs).  Personally I don't like and if I were to keep the car I might source some OE replacements from a breaker to get the ride height and comfort back (can be bought from this forum from around $40).. The interior could do with a clean, but there are no cig burns or anything like that.. oh yeah the offside rear elec window doesnt work but that might be a wiring issue – I have never investigated. Everything else work, elec mirrors, PAS.. The car has 2 almost new Goodyear Eagle tyres on the front with a Nankang and Maxxi on the rear (3-4mm). Reason for selling is I have bought a Focus diesel to be our main family run-around, the CR-V is a bit juicy and will be kept as the 2nd car. All in I think someone will be very pleased to get this at this price, its a great motor. any questions or more pics, please feel free to ask. The Car is in Tadworth Surrey and avaiable for viewing when I'm off shift. contact Jason – 0771 3166 270
